Stock Information

We offer a selection of our favourite Fine Art papers for you to choose from and we’re happy to discuss any special requests you may have.

Epson Enhanced Matte [190gsm]
A very popular smooth matte paper. It’s heavyweight and flexible – our framer has loved working with it since we started using it 6 years ago! With a beautiful bright white base that accentuates highlights and tones, this paper also allows for excellent shadow detail.

Please note: Small print orders (up to A3+) may be printed on sheets of Epson Archival Matte paper as Enhanced Matte is not available in sheets and rolls are not suitable for this size print. We have used these papers side by side for 6+ years with no issues. They use the same printer profile.

Epson Premium Luster Photo Paper [260gsm]
Very close to traditional silver halide paper in terms of finish, a popular look from way back! Providing vivid colours for those who like a photographic feel for their prints.

Hahnemuhle German Etching [310gsm]
One of the best papers in the world, traditionally made and super heavyweight. Finely textured and velvety, this 100% a-cellulose paper will give you deep blacks and optimum contrast.

All prints are run on Epson Large Format Giclee Printers with genuine Epson UltraChrome K3 Inks.

Colour Management/ICC Profiles/Soft Proofing

We cannot stress the importance of Colour Management enough.

If you’re a retail client that has received a referral to us from your photographer, you should be a-ok, however please be aware that without calibration, one screen will vary from the next device. Your images may appear different on paper to how you’ve seen them on a device [and MUCH more detailed, which is a good thing!].

If you’ve stumbled upon us without a referral from your photographer, welcome, we’d love to help you get your images on your walls! We do recommend that you check that the photographer you used has been working in a colour managed space and ask which sizes paper they would recommend for your images.

Please ensure you upload high-res files [print-res/full-res are other terms that photographers use]. Our retail pricing includes re-sizing images as required, but that doesn’t mean we can work miracles, we still need to start with the highest resolution possible.

Photographers, please, calibrate you monitor at the very least! We also suggest soft proofing your images on your calibrated monitor either in LightRoom or PhotoShop.

ICC Profiles can be downloaded from our Trade Area. For best results, ensure you shoot, process and embed Adobe RGB (1998) in your files, sRGB is an inferior profile with a much smaller gamut [it’s perfect for web use, but not the best option for Fine Art prints].

Photographers – you know what to do, resize your files, we need 300dpi at the print-size you’re ordering e.g. a print that is 7 inches on the long side must be 2100px on the long side. If you need help give us a call, we’re happy to help you get set-up for the high-quality printing you’ll get with us, but you need to resize your files yourself if you’re accessing our trade pricing.

Matted and Mounted Options

We offer a mount and matting service for the following standard sized prints:

Print Size Mount Size
5×7” 8×10”
5×7.5” 8×10”
8×10” 11×14”
8×11” 11×14”
8×12” 11×14”

Other sizes are available by custom order.

Square or Panoramic Prints

We can print at any size prints up to 44″ [on roll paper]. If you’re printing a size that isn’t shown on our website, please follow the guidelines below and make a note confirming the size so we know exactly what you’re after.
For squarer files, order according to the short side of the paper – e.g. 16×16” needs to be ordered as 16×24”. For panoramic prints, pricing is based on the longest side e.g. 12×24” also gets ordered as 16×24”.
Still not sure? Give us a call and we’ll give you a hand!

Hand Torn Edges

Hand Torn Edges are available on our matte papers. This is done by hand, that means each and every tear will be different and your prints size will vary slightly because of the edges. The tear will be at the edge of the photo, please add a white border to your files if you’d like space between the edge of the image and the tear. Obviously this will make your image slightly smaller than the print size.

Turnaround Times

Simple, we print on Wednesdays. You must submit your order and upload files by 2:30pm on Tuesday to meet that week’s print-run.
We do have a rush service subject to availability, you must call us to arrange this and there is a 20% surcharge applicable

Delivery Options

  • Australia Post – shipping fee will be calculated when you place your order
  • Pick-up from Traralgon Studio – Free [by appointment]
  • Delivery to Morwell Art + Framing – Free [we will confirm that your order has been delivered, the rest is up to you]
